This is a fully functional version of the software - if the security dongle which comes with the purchased verion is not detected, the software runs in demo mode and places a ‘spoiler’ on the images (in the form of a ‘red rain’).
Full instructions for using Ultimatte Knockout are included on the PDF in the ‘help’ folder. Please read the addendum on page 3 to discover the changes to the manual since version 1.02.
It is essential to realise that Knockout requires a minimum of 5 times the image size in available Ram (preferably 8 times). Before using Knockout, in the finder, set the ram to a suitable amount in the ‘get info’, ‘memory’ window.
The training files referred to in the manual are included in the ‘Sample projects’ and ‘Sample images’ folders. These are a great place to start exploring the programme’s potential.
To show some of the advanced uses, there are several Photoshop™ files with subjects such as glass and transluscent materials - these are located in the ‘Examples’ folder.
